Professor Dirceu de Alencar Velloso Library
The Professor Dirceu de Alencar Velloso Library (BPDAV) is located in the building next to the Technology Center and was inaugurated on September 20, 2006. Its name pays homage to Professor Dirceu de Alencar Velloso, one of the founders of COPPE’s Civil Engineering Program.
Our collection includes around 10,000 copiesall donated, covering various areas of knowledge.
Opening Hours
🕤 Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services and Loans
BPDAV offers support for research and study, helping students and researchers to access academic materials.
Loans:
- Students can withdraw up to 4 items (books, theses, etc.)
- Return deadlines: 7, 14 or 30 days, depending on the category of material
